					Axilla Treatment for Excessive Sweating

	Laser Hair Removal
	Laser hair removal is now offered at the Boca Raton Plastic Surgery Center. Welcome, Dr. Jodi Schoenhaus, a highly trained foot & ankle surgeon, specializing in Laser Hair Removal. Dr. Schoenhaus will be available for laser hair removal treatments by appointment only. She will be performing these procedures herself to give the highest level of expertise available. Please contact the office to book your appointment or consultation today! Laser hair removal offers a fast, safe and comfortable alternative to removing unwanted hair. Unlike other hair removal procedures that focus on individual hairs, laser technology is able to quickly treat large areas of hair at one time. In an hour or less, most body areas can be hair-free. Typically patients can expect a hair reduction of up to 85 to 90% after four to six treatments. Laser hair removal ends the costly repetitive treatments of shaving, tweezing, chemical depilatories, waxing and electrolysis. Laser hair removal can also dramatically reduce the incidence of inflamed hair follicles in previously shaved areas. Based on technology that has been used for nearly a decade, laser hair removal is safe and effective. The Boca Raton Plastic Surgery Center is committed to offering patients the most advanced, most effective, and safest technology for laser hair removal, operated personally by Dr. Jodi Schoenhaus. The lasers are FDA approved, and have a special feature that cools the skin during and after treatment to minimize discomfort.
	Fractional CO2 Laser Resurfacing

			An exciting phase of skin repair is upon us. A revolutionary method of skin resurfacing is now available called fractional CO2 laser technology. The Fraxel® re:pair laser is the first and only FDA approved fractional laser system for the treatment of wrinkles, texture changes, pigmented lesions, and vascular changes.
	It has several advantages to the traditional CO2 laser resurfacing lasers: there are no incidences of hypo-pigmentation, thus it can be used on many skin types; it can be used not only on the face, but also on the neck, chest, arms and hands — and the healing time is significantly reduced. The Fraxel re:pair also differs from the earlier Fraxel re:store laser, in that it is an ablative laser that removes all layers of the skin in its treatment zone, and will contribute to tissue tightening. The Fraxel re:pair is also designed as a single treatment, whereas the re:store is designed as a series of treatments. Dr. Keusch requests that you contact her office if you are interested in this treatment modality. She feels it provides a very excellent alternative to surgical lifts, particularly noting that Fraxel re:pair may be used along the neck. For select reconstructive surgical cases, Dr. Cristina Keusch is now using acellular collagen matrix, SurgiMend, as well as human cadaver allograft, NeoForm, by Mentor Corp.
